Budget 2022 Highlight’s

This Year Budget seeks to implement foundation & give a blueprint of the Indian economy over ‘Amrit Kal’ of next 25 years – from India at 75 to India at 100, said FM Nirmala Sitharaman

FM Say that PM Gati Shakti for the road transport masterplan to be finalized in the year 2022-23. It will encompass the 7 engines for multi-modal connectivity for the Indian states with speedier implementation of development projects through technology to facilitate faster movement of people & goods through ₹20,000 crore financed by the Indian government to speed up this Gati Shakti project.

The National Highway network will be expanded by 25,000 kms in 2022-23.

FM Said that All Over development, productivity enhancement, energy transition and climate action are four pillars of development.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that There was a sharp increase in public investment & capital expenditure in Budget 2021-22…This Budget (2022-23) will benefit, youth, women, farmers, SC, ST; shall be guided by PM Gati Shakti master plan, said 

There are some Highlights around sector wise 

Education:

1. Universalisation of Quality Education

2. One class One TV channel programme to be expanded to 200 TV channels.

3. Virtual labs and skilling e-labs to promote critical thinking skills and stimulated learning environment.

4. A Digital University will be established with world class quality universal education

Health:

1. For mental health counselling, a National Tele Mental Health Program will be launched.

2. Integrated architecture: Mission Shakti, Mission Vatsalya, Saksham Anganwadi, and Poshan 2.0 to be launched

3. FM Nirmala Sitharaman said that we are amidst the Omicron wave, the speed of our vaccination campaign has helped extraordinarily. I’m sure that ‘Sabka Prayaas’, we’ll proceed with solid development.

4. Two lakh Anganwadis to be upgraded to Saksham Anganwadis

5. An open platform for the National Digital Health Ecosystem will be rolled out. It will consist of digital registries of health providers and health facilities, unique health identity and universal access to health facilities.

Agriculture and food processing

• Promoting chemical free natural farming starting with farmers’ lands close to river Ganga

• Promoting post harvest value addition, consumption and branding of millet products

• Delivery of Digital and Hi-Tech services to farmers in PPP mode.

• Use of Kisan Drones to aid farmers.

• Launching fund with blended capital to finance agriculture start ups

Railway

• Integration of Postal and Railways Network facilitating parcel movement.

• One Station One Product

• Extending coverage under Kavach

• 400 new generation Vande Bharat Trains

• Multimodal connectivity between mass urban

• Transport and railway stations

• National Ropeways Development Plan as

• Sustainable alternative to conventional roads.

Tax proposals

Allowing taxpayers to file Updated Return within 2 years for correcting errors

Extending period of incorporation of eligible startups for providing tax incentives

Income from transfer of virtual assets to be taxed at 30%

Extending period of incorporation of eligible startups for providing tax incentives

Increasing tax deduction limit on employer’s contribution to NPS account of state government employees
